CASE STUDY: Resilience and Stress Management for Practitioners
Challenge
An organization in the wellness and fitness industry, specializing in the heart-brain connection and stress management tools, faced a unique challenge. Their practitioner training programs were successful in educating participants, but many practitioners, often solopreneurs, struggled to apply the tools in their own coaching or educational offerings. Overwhelmed by the demands of working in their business, they found it difficult to focus on growing their business or clarifying how to implement their learning for their target audiences.
Solution
To address these challenges, I partnered with the organization to design a 14-week optional accountability program offered after their practitioner training. This program was tailored to help participants gain clarity, set actionable goals, and implement their learning into tangible offerings. It provided structured support and accountability, enabling participants to move from concept to execution.
The 14-week program included:
Goal setting and success criteria: In the first session, participants defined their 14-week goal and developed measurable success criteria for their program or project.
Weekly 75-minute live sessions: Each session followed a structured format, including grounding breathwork, status updates, retrospectives, planning for the next week, and a mini-lesson on program development best practices.
Peer engagement and group coaching: Sessions were conducted via Zoom with 5-8 participants per cohort. Weekly discussions included breakout rooms, group coaching, and individual shares, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Celebration and progress tracking: Participants shared weekly wins and assessed progress monthly against their success criteria, with opportunities to reassess priorities and adjust focus as needed.
Outcome
The program delivered impactful results:
Clear goals and actionable plans: Participants gained clarity on their objectives and successfully developed new coaching or educational programs tailored to their target audiences.
Increased implementation: Many participants began integrating the tools and practices they had learned into their business offerings, including working with clients and launching stress and wellbeing programs.
Stronger accountability and structure: The weekly sessions and peer sharing created a powerful accountability mechanism. Embarrassment and ego became motivating drivers, pushing participants to stay on track and make progress.
Key Success Factors
Structure and accountability: Participants expressed gratitude for the program’s structured approach, which provided the support they needed to overcome challenges like time management and shifting priorities.
Lasting impact: Several participants sought continued support after the program to build additional stress and wellbeing initiatives for their clients.
SUMMARY
Challenge: Practitioners struggled to focus on growing their business and applying their learning while managing daily responsibilities.
Solution: Partnered with the organization to create a 14-week optional accountability program that provided structure, coaching, and peer support to guide participants in implementing their goals.
Outcome: Participants launched new programs, integrated tools into their offerings, and built stronger connections with their peers and clients.
